Visa Regulations
All foreign visitors (except the
countries mentioned below) who visit the
country as a tourist are
required to apply for an Electronic Travel
Authorization (ETA) on arrival or prior to
arrival.
Holders of ETA obtain a visa on arrival
that is valid for 30 days.
Natiionals of the following countries are
exempt for the Electronic Travel
Authorization and obtain a visa on arrival
free of charge.

Passport Validity
All visitors must hold a passport valid
for a minimum of 6 months..

Travel Insurance,
Onward ticket and proof of funds
All visitors to Sri Lanka may be
subject to show proof of funds to cover
travel expenses, proof of a valid travel insurance and an onward ticket out of
the country.
